When Will We Stop Being “Too Busy”?
I hear it all the time: “Fall is so busy with back-to-school season.” “Halloween keeps us running around.” “The holidays are coming, so I’m swamped.” And honestly… we say it all year. Summer? Too many activities. Spring? Too much to do. And yes, I say it too—I’ve got every weekend filled until basically Thanksgiving.
But when are we truly not busy?
When are we going to prioritize ourselves? Our health? Our joy?
I’m not just talking about a bubble bath (though those are nice), but really making space for the things that matter:
Doing the hobbies that light you up—knitting, puzzles, soap-making, whatever sparks your creativity.
Eating food you love (without judgment).
Visiting family you haven’t seen in ages.
Making an impact in your community.
Taking care of your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Being “busy” has become a badge of honor, but it shouldn’t be. There will always be a reason not to slow down. The question is: will you let the seasons and life’s chaos dictate your joy—or will you carve out your time intentionally?
Prioritize yourself. Prioritize your health. Find your joy—and make time for it.
